[ He currently has a working fridge. How long that's going to last isn't anything he can know, but it works at the moment. He still pouts, but he disappears towards the kitchen again. ]
[ Vergil just stares after him, wondering what magic the demon has woven to get Dante at least temporarily under his thumb like that. ]
I take it he's always been like that, huh? I remember when we first met, he was constantly getting distracted by random things around the castle. I was pretty confused about what an old list of edicts from when the island was occupied had to do with anything in the present.
I agree that curiosity can be a good thing, but... [Shrug.] It can be a pain to deal with when you can never tell if someone's thinking about what you said, or daydreaming about cheeseburgers.
As if I can't? I did promise to show him my true form, maybe I'll use it to shove his face into the dirt again. Make his head hurt as much as mine did just now.
I can make it up to you, Alastor. I bet I can do it real nice, too.
[ ...should Dante be trusted in his current mood? Vergil doesn't think so. But he doesn't warn Alastor - if the demon wants to be around, he needs to learn. ]
[Ah, the protective sibling routine...not that Alastor's ever been an easy one to intimidate. He just shrugs and continues in to the kitchen. Hopefully it's not too cluttered.]
Hope you guys like chicken. It's pretty good for last minute cooking.
[ It's.... half cluttered? It's obvious that things were placed recklessly, but also that while Dante was putting the groceries away, he attempted to fix the place, too. ]
I don't really remember what chicken is like? But if you're making it, it's got to be good.

I'd looove to meet Joe. And Silvia. See if they're actually up to the hype.
[ Vergil frowns at him. He doesn't like being interrupted. ] This is a private conversation. Go back to your chore.
[ And Dante pouts. ]

Groceries, Dante. Some of those need to be refrigerated.
[...Dante does have a working refrigerator, right? He should have checked beforehand. Ah well.]
If anyone's willing to take a half-demon in stride, it'll be those two.

[ Vergil has a similar need, but he's never been distractible. One of the many differences between them. ]
She would consistently encourage this within him.

[ Yes, Dante is back, but he's done this time. He looks real proud of himself, too.
Vergil's eyebrows just raise at the 'not even pizza' part. ]
no subject
[Yeah, he's sure that'll change once Dante calms down from the excitement of everything.]
And I'm pretty sure Joe would struggle to decide whether he'd rather marry Silvia or cheeseburgers.
no subject
[ Dante just shoots Vergil a Look. ] Wanna fight?
[ Vergil ignores it, choosing to respond to Alastor's latter statement instead. ] I'm sure marrying cheeseburgers is illegal.
no subject
[Yeah, he knows Dante heals fast, but he also suspects Vergil's an even opponent for him. He also also is reaching to give Dante a playful noogie.]
Anyway, I think that's the only reason Joe hasn't tried. His obsession with the thing makes your pizza habit look like nothing.
no subject
I wonder if there's cheeseburger porn. He could probably feel better with that.
[ Vergil just stares at him in silence, hoping and praying that Dante doesn't continue on to clarify there's pizza porn. ]
no subject
[He knows Rule 34 is a thing, but...must you?]
no subject
But they should not actually act childish around a guest. ]
Do you wish me to beat his ass for that?
[ Dante just laughs at that. ] I'd like to see you try!

[He gives Dante's ear a rough tug at that last word, to emphasize his point.]
no subject
[ He leans in and presses a gentle kiss to Alastor's cheek. Vergil, for his own part, is not surprised. He just wishes he were somewhere else. ]
no subject
[Fiiiine, have a hug, Dante.]
Just next time, keep that sort of thought to yourself. Sharing isn't always caring.
no subject
Dante, in the meantime, beams at the hug. He doesn't quite understand what he did wrong, but at least he did the right thing to make up for it. ]
I'm sure I could come up with worse, but I'll make sure not to try!
no subject
[He gives Dante a light swat over the head, then a shoving nudge.]
Now move. I thought you were hungry?
no subject
I don't know what changed, but you better take proper care of him. If you don't...
[ He lays down a threatening silence, then lets go and heads to the kitchen as well. ]
no subject
Hope you guys like chicken. It's pretty good for last minute cooking.
