Having things unresolved like that was kinda eating at me. I can't say I wish I'd never left, but I do wish it'd been under better circumstances. Sorry I, uh...thought so lowly enough of you that I didn't think I could just tell you how I felt about being left behind.

Eh, we've both had our moments. The life of a demon kinda encourages selfishness, and while you might've been born in the human world...I got the impression the underworld came to you a lot.

Oh, it sure as hell did. Really attacked a lot of people I cared about as a kid.

Making it feel like weakness to care about other people, since it was just giving your enemies an easy way to hurt you.

Yeah, that's why it's so easy to wish you could just...not care if you see people get hurt.
