Redgrave watches this, seeing the Devil Sword Alastor fly through the air towards the other devil. "Ah," he says. "I knew you smelled familiar."
No, he hadn't had any doubt about this guy's identity. But did he really feel like idling around and waiting for actual confirmation? no. He brings out Devil Sword Dante - still within him, gifted to he and not the human form - and swings it in Alastor's direction.
Fair fighting? Waiting for him to be ready? What's that?
If Alastor had dismissed the copy of his blade, he'd have been in trouble. Fortunately for him, he wasn't so foolish as to expect other devils to fight with pride. Metal clashes against metal and Alastor flies backwards, gritting his teeth as the impact nearly knocks the weapon from his hand. This one hits hard, he'll have to remember that.
"Have a fan, do I? Well then, check this!"
The Devil Arm in his hand glows as he draws on the fragment of power left inside it, and a wave of wind and lightning expands from around the devil's body, briefly obscuring his form...
Until he shoots forward, now significantly larger and more bestial looking. He swings both blades in a shearing motion, aiming to cut cleanly through his target.
Redgrave starts beating his wings to get himself away from the shearing motion. He's sure he's fast enough to avoid the shearing motion, and the power from his large wings sends a surge of wind through the room.
The wind bends around Alastor, as though the air pressure doesn't dare touch him. He gives a many fanged grin, as balls of purple lightning start to form in the air around him. His voice is distinctly deeper than it was before, with an ominous reverberation.
Redgrave's own voice is much deeper than Dante's is, not that he's being recognized as a part of him - or is he? Either way, he figures he should cut the purple lightning off before it gets to be too much trouble, and to do that means going for the source...
He spread his arms wide and conjures fire magic, through a giant ball of it forming in his chest and then exploding out of it, towards Alastor.
He waves one of his swords, sending a gust of wind toward the flames...though it could be more accurately described as a miniature tornado, tearing up the already damaged railings of the stairs and sending loose objects flying as it attempts to blow the fire aside.
The fire is strong, and not easily blown away - but the wind does keep it from moving forward, keeping it at bay. Redgrave rumbles out a displeased noise, and puts more energy behind the fire, trying to push it forward after all.
He growls, red eyes flaring brighter as he increases the force behind the wind, but even so...he knows he's going to lose this contest. He'll just have to try something else. That's his thought as he pulls back his conjured sword and flings it through the flame, both wind and his own magical control serving to propel it toward its target.
The blade is red hot when it strikes him in his center chest, and he rumbles out a discontent noise. But - he can handle this just as well as the original Dante can. Instead of pulling it out, he keeps it there, thinking it takes the blade out of commission if he does that.
Well...this guy must be tough too, if he didn't even flinch. All that leaves as an option is to dodge the flames. He drops down to the base of the stairs, floor cracking under the impact of his hooves. Under other circumstances, he might note how nice it feels to have hooves again, but right now he can't afford to think about anything but the fight.
More balls of lightning appear in the air, forming a floating minefield between him and Redgrave. Simultaneously, more blades appear in flashes of light and shoot forward, aiming to make a pincushion of the other devil.

"Gotta try harder than that."

"Was that supposed to achieve anything?"

"Don't worry, that was just a taste."
