All the way in Movieland, Alastor had sensed a disturbance in the Force...or rather, in the infernal contract that bound him to Dante. It hadn't been severed, but something had happened. The last thing he wanted was to meet his master again, and potentially give away the fact that he'd run away in the first place, but he had a bad feeling about this. Rachel and Blue Jr. had been concerned, but neither of them could leave Movieland without powerful magic that he was still in the process of figuring out, and so he'd left on his own.
His first stop is Devil May Cry, his master's home and the place where he'd left his original blade. What he finds is...more than a little alarming. Demonic bugs flying openly through the skies, the first newspaper he'd seen reporting on an invasion from Hell...conditions he'd thought would have been impossible after Sparda sealed the major Hellgates. And then when he looks inside the shop itself...he could say it looked like a tornado blew through, but he's intimately familiar with tornadoes, and this is far more obviously deliberate. A servant of Mundus, is his first thought. It leaves him tense, and he draws a copy of his sword as he steps through the ruined lobby, sniffing at the air. It definitely reeks of demon in here, and the ambient malice is akin to a beast roaring in his ear...
