It'd been a confusing turn of events. A demon had cast a spell on Dante, weaving the magic to split him apart - just like how Vergil had become V and Urizen, Dante has now split into his human and devil sides. There's no fancy name for either of them, they haven't been in the world long enough to get names.

The demon side has taken refuge up in Devil May Cry, a splitting image of the original's Sin Devil Trigger. He's waiting for comrades of Dante's to come around, because he finds the idea of surprising them to be... entertaining, to say the least.

He's been tearing his way through the rooms, destroying or defacing each one in a unique way.
